Initiating Mid-term goals by engaging community based development projects designed to support the community in improving their long term financial sustainability by engaging in profitable business activities. The Short-term goals are implemented through humanitarian and social responsibility projects such as food distribution by feeding the poor during month of Ramadhan and EId Al-Adha program.

1. Social Mobilizing

WEP is regarded as a social mobilize, therefore it liaises with the local community as a whole to bring about participatory development activities, such as training on farming, leadership, financial management and proposal writing.

2. Poverty Reduction

Economic growth will not reduce poverty, improve equality, gender representation and produce jobs unless it is inclusive. Inclusive growth is also essential for the achievement of the Vision 2030 Development. The globalization process, when properly managed, becomes an important ingredient for inclusive growth. In this context, AFECoD works to make real improvement in people’s lives, opening up their choices and opportunities especially in related to women representation.

AFECoD intends to promote inclusive and sustainable human development and works to reduce poverty in all its dimensions. We focus our efforts on making growth and trade benefit to everyone in the community. This includes the development and initiation of women groups, Chama and youth groups. This will give them chances of coming with economic groups for business ideas to improve their lives hence reduce poverty in the community. AFECoD through its funding will give women access to loans which they can use to implement their ideas to success. AFECoD is also intending to come up with projects which are intended to women and give them all the support they need to success.

They say education is the light to success within the community. This means, the more people are educated the more illiteracy will be reduced thus increasing more chances of creating and getting jobs hence reducing the rate of poverty. AFECoD through it initiatives, it’s planning to create more awareness on education so that we can have as many people working in different companies, institutions especially women.
