AFECoD project in Kwale County established in organized form aiming to improving the standard of living of Kwale people as the major goal it will stand for. To carry out activities in ICT studies and capacity building. The following shall be our first piloting projects to achieve.
ICT & Entrepreneur (information, communication and technology): To promote information, communication and technology in Kwale county. We aim to carry computer vocational training within Kwale and the surrounding sub-counties.
Problem statements
The youth in Kwale County have got economic and social problems. The economic problem is lack of employment opportunities. Even though youth population is dominant in th
e town, there are no enough jobs to absorb them and there is very high unemployment. As a result some of the youth do involve in illegal activities such as theft, gangsters, kidnapping and so on to sustain their lives.
From this project, the trained selected leaders shall be able to transform others in their respective words and villages through the skills acquired from the project
Project Objectives
The overall objective of this project is to create an enabling environment for the youth of Kwale County so that they can be self – dependent, contribute to the development of the area and be an active participant in development effort of the nation.
Specific objectives are to inculcate entrepreneurial skills in the youth, to make youth self-employed, and initiate the youth to be engaged in social and economic activities through vocational skills training.
Project Conclusion and Final Goals
- To have self – dependent youth for the development of our county and the nation at large.
- To have a safe environment for the community as youth will not be involved in theft, gangsters and other illegal activities within the county level.
- Prepare better future parent for that will be able to help their families in education.
